Denver East Cross Country has had a tradition of athletes volunteering at the Hot Chocolate Run. The event is on Sunday, Oct 1 and is early in the morning (exact times will be known when we get our volunteer assignment).

The benefit for athletes and the team is that this event is a ton of fun and the team raises money from it. This event is organized by the team captains and the volunteers are our captains and athletes.

Meet at East at 7:30am in the teachers parking lot. We will car pool to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal for fun and long run. Bring a water bottle and sunscreen.

If you can drive, bring your car.

Cost:  No more than $20 per shirt, but we won’t no exactly until we find out how many people want shirts.  The more we order, the more the price goes down.

Payment:  Please give the money to one of the team captains when you receive your shirt.

Hi Runners!

Great race today! Here are some things to look forward to in the next few days.

Saturday: 60 – 70 minutes easy recovery run

Sunday: rest

Monday: practice at 3:45pm

Monday after practice: The captains are organizing a potluck after practice in City Park. Why? Because we don’t have school on Monday, so it should be fairly easy for people to bring something. Please bring:

• • Freshmen: main dish
  • Sophomores: side dish
  • Juniors: dessert
  • Seniors: drinks and chocolate milk

Wednesday: Crazy sock day. Wear a pair of your favorite crazy socks to practice!
