We can’t wait to see you at the kick off meeting tonight!!

Hey Runners!!  Hopefully all of you are finding ways to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and get in some miles!  Please send pictures of yourself and your running buddies (human or other, following safety guidelines) so we can share them!  Please check the training plan on the website by clicking here xc summer training schedule 2020— and please keep a training log!  It is even more important than ever that you are keeping track of what your training!  Since we cannot be with you, we need to see logs so we know how to adjust your training.  We will have more information soon on how to share that with us.

Please stay tuned for some upcoming google chats—I was having some technical difficulties, but think I have it figured out.

If you are going to be a senior and would like to be a captain, please send me a letter explaining why and what would make you a good leader for this team.  I have received several already, and want to make sure I know who is interested.  Please make sure I have your letter no later than June 1.  You can send your letter to: steven_kohuth@dpsk12.org

Happy running thoughts until we talk soon!

Cross Country Updates

Hey Runners!!  As you are painfully aware, the spring sports seasons have been canceled. I wanted to let you know all the coaches miss you and wish we could all be running together! Until we can do that, I want give you some updates and information about the upcoming cross country season—as far as we know, the fall season will happen, though it may be somewhat different than we are used to.  We need to make sure that we use this time to be getting in shape—while being safe and socially distanced.  While we have the potential to be really good next season, the work needs to be done this summer.  I am working on building our meet schedule, and we will be sending out recommended workouts and training plans soon.  Please be watching for upcoming virtual meetings or hangouts or races or other ways for us to stay connected until we are able to all get together!

If you are a rising senior and interested in being a captain next season, please send me (steven_kohuth@dpsk12.org) an explanation of why you would like to be a captain and what would make you a good one.

Please keep an eye on the website for updates—the training schedule will be up very soon and we’ll be updating every week or so. Get out and run with your dog or your parents or your siblings and be safe and stay healthy and hopefully we’ll all be running together soon!
