Runners!

We are meeting in the Commons (lunch room) today, Monday, August 23, at 3:45pm. Come ready to run. Coaches will be at the front door to guide you to the Commons if you don’t know where to go.

If you haven’t filled out a uniform check out form, we can’t give you a uniform. 😦 Please fill one out as soon as you can: Uniform Check-out form

If you have already filled out the form, thank you! 🙂 We will distribute uniforms next week.

The team relies on parents to help with a range of tasks, big and small. Please consider signing up to help at this link.

Runners: If you arrive for the time trial, your team and coaches are waiting in the foyer (entrance) to the school. Head there– with a mask.

Spectators, the time trial will likely be delayed until the weather calms.

Hi Runners!

In order to check out a uniform, please fill out the following form. As soon as everyone has completed their uniform form, we will begin distributing uniforms.

Remember, tonight is Spike Night! Join us at 5:00pm at the Runner’s Roost on Colorado and Mexico. The East Cross Country athletes will receive a discount on shoes and a portion of tonight’s sales will go to our team as a fundraiser. Please let us know if you are coming and how many are in your group so the store can order enough pizza for us! We have a few reminders for cross country.

• Starting Monday, Aug 16, practice will begin at 3:45pm.

• Spike Night will be on Monday, August 16 at Runner’s Roost at 5:00pm. Runner’s Roost is at 1685 S Colorado Blvd J, Denver, CO 80222. This is a great opportunity to purchase running shoes and other running items with the experienced staff at Runner’s Roost, while at the same time supporting the team. • Please mark your calendars for our student/parent kick off meeting on August 26 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be virtual, stay tuned for the link. This meeting will provide athletes and their families with valuable information for this cross country season.

Practice will begin today at 4:00pm. Meet at the Big E, bring a mask, water bottle and wear sunscreen.

Time Trial: Thursday, August 19.  Girls at 4:30pm, Boys at 5pm. The time trial will be a 5K this year, not a 2 mile run.

Please join the team for Spike Night, our first fundraiser of the year, on Monday, August 16, at Runner’s Roost, 1685 S Colorado Blvd J, Denver, CO 80222, at 5:00pm. Come down and find the right pair of running shoes for you! A portion of Spike Night sales will go to the team. Family members are welcome. We will have pizza and drinks, but they will be served and consumed outside of the store. While indoors, please wear a mask.
