Seniors!

If you would like to be considered for a team captain position, you need to email Coach Kohuth by Monday, August 21 and include the following:

  • Why you are interested in being a captain
  • Reasons why you would be a good captain

Reminder for all runners:

THURSDAY AUGUST 24, we will have our athlete and parent meeting and potluck. We will meet in the Commons at 6:00.

We ask families to bring the following:

9th—main course

10th—salad/side

11—dessert

12—drinks

We will also have team merchandise for sale if you want to bring money or your checkbook. (if you want to volunteer to help out, please email Jennifer at jareich424@gmail.com)

Upcoming Events

Welcome back!  There are several exciting updates to start our season.

Note that practice (and fun run) this Friday, Aug 11 is cancelled.

On FRIDAY AUGUST 18, we will host our first Annual 2-Mile Angel Time Trial and Alumni Run and Reunion. We will begin warm-ups at 3:15 from the “E” in front of the high school and start our time trials between 4:00 and 4:15pm. After, runners, parents, alums, and everyone who has supported the Angels is invited to join us at The Goods Restaurant (2550 East Colfax—across from East) from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm. 10% of proceeds will go back to East Cross Country. Douglas County East-West Trail Friday Fun Run Sign up

Click HERE to let us know if you can join us or if you can drive.

  • Meet in the teachers’ lot at 7:45 am.  Friday, Aug 4.
  • If you are closer to Highlands Ranch, meet us at the Mountain Ridge Middle School Parking Lot at 8:30 to 8:45 ish am.
  • If you haven’t already, have your parent or guardian fill out a permission slip Friday Fun Run Permission Slip  Bring this to one of the coaches.
  • Wear a watch and sunscreen.
  • Bring 1 or 2 water bottles
  • We should be back by 11:30 am ish.

Log A Run and Summer Training

If you are keeping a running log on logarun.com, you must set your “Read Permission” to Coach Only or Team Only. Many of our athletes have set their “Read Permission” to “No One,” which means we cannot give you credit for keeping a log or for all the work you have done this summer. Please check your settings on the East XC Team page on logarun and share your summer accomplishments with the coaches or the whole team.
