There are currently three former Angels running collegiately, all in New England: Laurel Kruger, class of 2018, now at Smith College; Will Daley, class of 2020 now at Dartmouth College; and Julia Schor, class of 2021, now at Amherst College. They are about at the midway point in their collegiate season.
Kruger has led her team in each of the first three meets of the Pioneers’ season, including 2nd place finishes at the Keene State Alumni Meet and the Smith College Invitational and a 16th place finish in the Purple Valley Classic at Williams College which featured many of the top DIII programs in New England.
Likewise, Daley has led the Big Green in both of their first two races of the season including a win at the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational and a 16th place finish in the Coast to Coast Battle in Beantown at Boston’s Franklin Park, where many of the best DI teams from the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic gathered to preview their NCAA regional championship course.
In her debut campaign at the collegiate level, Schor has finished as one of the Mammoths’ top four runners in each of her first three races, including an 22nd place finish at the Ken O’Brien Minute Man Invitational, an 11th place finish at the Little III Invitational, and a 48th place finish at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University – always one of the biggest collegiate meets of the year.
