If you haven’t checked out a uniform and need one, please stop by the cross country cage, room 027 (in the basement by the trainers’ room, sports laundry room and locker rooms) to get one on Thursday, August 29 after school (1:15pm – 1:45pm). As you know, there are no busses for the meets Friday. If you want to connect to others to carpool, go to the Wash Park Transportation Bulletin Board. Indicate if you can give a ride or if you need a ride. If you can help with rides, please enter the number of runners you can legally drive. Note: this is a resource to help you make your own arrangments.
- Dismissal at 1:15pm
- Meet on Detroit St (between the lunch room and Detroit St)
- Depart from Detroit Street around 1:30pm
- Parking & Event Location: The course is located at the South end of Washington Park, the best dropoff location can be found on South Franklin Street. Spectators are encouraged to park on South Franklin, or the North end of Denver South High School Main Parking lot on Louisiana Ave. Please click on the Course Map for reference. - Schedule: 2:45 – Coach’s meeting (at the finish line) 3:00 – Girls Open 2 miles (unlimited entries) 3:30 – Boys Open 2 miles (unlimited entries) 4:00 – Girls Varsity 5k (limited to seven entries – top five score) 4:45 – Boys Varsity 5k (limited to seven entries – top five score) 5:15 – High School Awards Ceremony at Start Line
