The Thornton Invitational is on Friday, August 6. Buses will leave from the Detroit Street side of East High School at 12:30pm. Meet schedule, information and course map is here: Thornton Invite Info. Varsity teams will be competing in red shorts/bottoms and white tops this week.

Varsity Girls at Thornton: P. Ochoa, Mohr, McBride, E. Maldonado-Ramos, Forsberg, D. Maldonado-Ramos, Love, Jensen, Brussard.

Varsity Boys at Thornton: Gertge, Mays, Gallantz, Kojima, Z. Smiles, Wilkerson

Not racing at Thornton: girls – Mucharsky, J. Ochoa, A. Johnson, Chomas, Nussbaum, Carhart, Kennedy, L. Brown; boys – Scudamore, B. Brown, Wagner, Morginsky, Penner, Bennett, Springer.

Race day expectations: All athletes not taking the bus need to arrive at the meet more than 90 minutes prior to their race. All athletes need to wear the team uniform; athletes choosing not to wear team issued shorts must wear solid red shorts if running JV or solid black shorts if racing in varsity uniform. Athletes not arriving 90 minutes prior to their race, who do not have a proper uniform, or who have unexcused absences during the week, will not race. All athletes are expected to stay at the meet through the completion of the last race in which East athletes are competing to support and cheer on their teammates. Athletes leaving a meet prior to the end of the meet and award ceremonies will not compete in the following meet unless excused by a coach.

Thursday study hall and practice: Study hall will be available from 1:30pm – 3:30pm again on Thursday. We will have voluntary Mental Skills Training again at 3:30pm at City Park at our usual spot. Practice on Thursday is at 4pm. For athletes not racing Friday, we will have practice at 4pm.
