Coaches Kohuth and Scudamore will again attend the NXR SW Championship in Mesa, Arizona on November 18, 2023.

Coach Kohuth will enter athletes who express interest in attending. East Boys will run one of the Large School races. East Girls will either be in a Large School race or may be invited to the Championship Race. Athletes are responsible for organizing their own transportation and accommodations, though we try to coordinate travel plans. Coach Scudamore is renting a minivan and will be able to provide transportation on Friday to inspect the course and for a team dinner and on Saturday to the meet and back to the hotel for a few athletes who stay in the same hotel (see below) or nearby. Please email Coach Kohuth and Coach Scudamore if you are interested in competing. This is traditionally a fun way to extend the season and run on an all-grass course near sea level against athletes from Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. 

Approximate Itinerary

Thursday (sometime) or Friday morning fly to Phoenix (athlete/parent arranged)

Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Tempe, AZ (near Arizona Mills Mall – there are a couple other hotels near the mall).

Friday 3:00pm: Leave hotel for course. Inspect course 4p-5p.

6:30pm: Leave hotel for team dinner

Saturday 6:15am-8:45am: Leave hotel for meet (exact time depends on race assignment).

12:30pm: Leave meet for lunch and to return to airport or hotel.
